Aprilia has been making progress in MotoGP in recent years, and the new RS-GP seems to be another step forward. Carlo Pernat praised the manufacturer that will line up with Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales in the factory team.
Apart from Ducati, the Italian believes that the Noale manufacturer was the one that made the most progress for 2024: ‘In my opinion, Aprilia was the one that worked best at the technical level, especially in the aerodynamics of the bike, and demonstrated that it made a superior bike compared to last year’, he told the Moto.it website, according to Motosan.es.
One of the Aprilia riders will be Viñales, and according to Pernat, if he is not more consistent, he may not continue with the team in 2025: ‘Then we have Viñales, who is a great champion, but has ups and downs and that way you don’t fight for the World Championships, and it will be a decisive year for him. I don’t think Aprilia can afford to keep a rider who has very fluctuating performances, but I have to say that technically Aprilia was the one that worked best’.
