Aprilia will start the 2024 MotoGP season with three bikes in the latest version – the two from the official team and Miguel Oliveira’s at Trackhouse Racing. Miguel Oliveira’s teammate, Raúl Fernández, will have to wait a few more months to have the most updated RS-GP possible.
Massimo Rivola, CEO of Aprilia Racing, explained to the press that no decisions have been made yet, but said that it’s possible that Fernández will only have the latest specification towards the middle of the season:
– I don’t know. Maybe in the middle of the season. We need to sit down with him and do some considerations because you know we are allowed only two homologated aerodynamic configurations. Normally we do a step in summer break in terms of what we bring as an additional homologation, so maybe it’s better to wait for that one. Or not. We will see.
