The Moto2 tests began today in Jere, with Arón Canet being the fastest on the day one. Three sessions were held throughout the day.
Most of the riders set their best times in the final session, unlike Canet. The Spanish rider from Fantic was the quickest in the second session with a time of 1m41.136s – a lap that remained unbeaten. Joe Roberts (OnlyFans American Racing Team/Kalex) set the second fastest time by leading the third session, but was 22 milliseconds behind Canet.
In a closely contested day, Jake Dixon (CFMoto Aspar/Kalex) finished third, 28 milliseconds behind, followed by Fermín Aldeguer (Sync SpeedUp/Boscoscuro). The top five was rounded out by Ai Ogura (MT Helmets-MSi/Boscoscuro). Among the rookies, the best performer was Senna Agius (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP/Kalex), who posted the 19th fastest time, 0.742s off the top.
