Aston Martin and Porsche will be the first brands to integrate the next generation of Apple CarPlay, which will allow the iPhone operating system to be connected to all vehicle screens, not just the central screen of the infotainment system as before.
In the image revealed by “Car and Drive” publication, it is possible to see that the Aston Martin model features a small vertical rectangular screen placed between the speedometer and the tachometer on the instrument panel, displaying a set of information.
In the case of Porsche, it can be seen that the instrument panel features round gauges and a background with the brand’s “houndstooth fabric pattern,” creating an image of exclusivity.
According to the publication, Aston Martin plans to launch the new generation of Apple CarPlay with a new infotainment system that will debut in 2024 in the new DB12, in both coupe and convertible versions.
Porsche does not have a date for the debut of the new system yet, but it would not be surprising if it integrates it into the models that will hit the market next year.
