The first round of the AMA Supercross 250 East had a very wild start in Detroit as many riders started on the ground. As for Austin Forkner, he dominated the main event to take the win, leading all laps.
The first main event of the 250SX East started off in a very chaotic way as more than seven riders went down in the first turn of the Ford Field: Haiden Deegan, Jalek Swoll, Seth Hammaker, Cameron McAdoo, Evan Ferry, Bryton Carrol, Tom Vialle, and more.
Who escaped this nightmare start was Austin Forkner who was leading the race in front of Chance Hymas, Max Anstie and Daxton Bennick, as main contenders.
Anstie eventually came to the second position but it was already a bit late to try to catch Forkner, who took all 21 laps in the lead, finishing the race with a 2.557s advantage over the #37, while Bennick took the last step of the podium.
Forkner is then also the first leader of the East region championship with 25 points, three more than Anstie – 22 – while Bennick is third with 20.
