This week, the official presentation of BMW for the Superbike World Championship took place at BMW Motorrad Welt in Berlin. The Bavarian manufacturer will have four bikes on the track: two from the official ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team and two from the satellite Bonovo Action BMW Racing Team.
The major highlight is undoubtedly the arrival of Toprak Razgatlioglu. The 2021 world champion is aiming to bring BMW to titles after a strong journey with Yamaha, although the M 1000 RR does not seem to be a bike that allows consistent competition at the top. Razgatlioglu will try to address this from early on in 2024.
Alongside him, Michael van der Mark remains with the team. Scott Redding moved to Bonovo Action alongside Garrett Gerloff, succeeding Loris Baz.
On January 24 and 25, tests will resume in Jerez, while Phillip Island hosts more tests on February 19 and 20, ahead of the opening round from February 23 to 25.
As for the colors, as seen in the images, the factory team will have bikes with a black base, combined with the typical white, blue, and red of BMW. Bonovo, on the other hand, will have its bikes dominated by white, combined with blue, black, and small details in red.
