Yesterday Brad Binder had a few issues with the lack of grip at Le Mans and his memories towards the next GP aren’t exactly the best as he didn’t get to the end of sunday’s race. The trick in there is, he assured, to manage the tyres well.
Following some problems in Le Mans with the grip, not ideal for him, Binder was asked about it for the next GP, in a couple of weeks, at Catalunya, and if he is concerned about it, saying: ‘Not really. Barcelona last year… I didn’t end the race there, it doesn’t bring back good memories but the Sprint was ok, finished fourth and was fighting for the podium. The big thing about Barcelona is make the rear tyre get to the end, and the front. All bikes are super hard on the tyres at the moment so maybe it can be good, let’s see’.
If he had issues with chattering this weekend, the south african clarified: ‘We had a little bit but it was nothing like Jerez, definitely it wasn’t out limiting factor here’.
The KTM superstar was fourth in the Sprint and retired after seven minutes of the race restart, last year.
