The BYD announced that on last Friday, November 24th, it reached the milestone of 6 million electrified cars produced.
The brand, which entered the national market this year, revealed that the 6 millionth model is a Fang Cheng Bao Bao 5 SUV, which recently started being sold.
The Chinese manufacturer, which is the world leader in new energy vehicles, continues to achieve new records, after announcing that it took only three months to produce 1 million electrified vehicles, indicating strong production growth.
Currently, BYD has nine production units for electrified light vehicles, which are sold globally in 58 countries, including the domestic market, and has surpassed accumulated sales of 200,000 passenger vehicles.
The brand, which already has a factory in Thailand, recently announced the construction of a new production unit in Brazil. In addition, there are rumors that the brand may build its first factory in Europe in Hungary.
It is worth mentioning that BYD’s Executive Vice President, Stella Li, stated at the beginning of 2023 that the brand intends to manufacture cars in Europe and that it was ready to carry out feasibility studies in that regard.
