The former football coach and now president of Futebol Clube do Porto, André Vilas-Boas, is a car enthusiast and the result of his passion is now on display at the Caramulo Museum.
Built over the years and with purely personal curation, André Villas-Boas’ collection reflects his diverse motorized tastes, ranging from classic sports cars such as the Lamborghini Miura S, Porsche 911 RS, or Ferrari F40, to the world of two wheels, with exotic examples like the Confederate Fighter or the Auto Fabrica Type 16.
In addition, the competition, which André Villas-Boas has had a special taste for since he was young, is also evident in this exhibition, not only with models of past greats like Cyril Despres and Marc Coma’s KTM motorcycles and his own Toyota Hilux, but also those still active, such as Stéphane Peterhansel’s Peugeot 3008 DKR Maxi and Miguel Oliveira’s KTM RC16.
The collection goes even further, demonstrating a genuine passion that surprises with the variety of examples that range from the exotic BAC Mono, the Citroën C3 WRC, and the powerful Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, to the classic MG Le Mans EX 182 and the popular FIAT 500 L.
André Vilas-Boas’ collection is on display for the first time at the Caramulo Museum from July 11th to October 20th.
