Francesco Bagnaia leads the MotoGP World Championship with three rounds to go, but after having a significant points advantage, he is now only 13 points ahead of Jorge Martín (Pramac Racing/Ducati). Therefore, a title fight is expected to go down to the wire.
Carlo Pernat gave an interview to the Motosan.es website, in which he argued that the crash in the second corner of the Catalan GP had a particularly significant impact on the Italian Ducati rider:
– The big problem was in Barcelona when he made that mistake. He was very lucky not to suffer fractures. However, that crash cost him some points. It affected him psychologically and a bit physically. I think Pecco is very strong mentally, and Martín is more aggressive at the moment and is improving. These points of advantage will be very important, of course.
