CFMoto has finally revealed the details of its highly anticipated three-cylinder sports bike, the 675SR-R, a year after presenting the initial prototype. This new machine promises to shake up the mid-capacity sports bike segment.
With a power output of 70kW (94hp) and a torque of 70Nm, the 675SR-R presents itself as a serious competitor in the market. Its dry weight of 175kg, which increases to 195kg in running order, puts it in a competitive position against its rivals.
However, enthusiasts might be a bit disappointed with the power figures, especially considering that CFMoto had previously suggested a power output of over 100hp. Nevertheless, there are indications that this engine has potential for more: the maximum power is reached at 10,250 rpm, well below the 12,300 rpm redline.
The maximum torque of 70Nm at 8,250 rpm suggests a tuning oriented towards mid-range performance, contrasting with bikes like the Triumph Daytona 675, which reached maximum torque at higher revs.
In terms of chassis, the 675SR-R uses a chrome-molybdenum steel structure with a cast aluminum swingarm. Its dimensions point to an agile bike, with a wheelbase of 1400mm and a caster angle of 23.7 degrees, more aggressive than many competitors.
The bike comes equipped with a quickshifter, slipper clutch, and even a standard lap timer. In the Chinese market, it will be supplied with CST semi-slick tires developed specifically for this model.
The export version of the 675SR-R is expected to be presented at the next EICMA show, with the first deliveries scheduled for early 2025.
