Charles Leclerc conquered the pole position of the United States Grand Prix of Formula 1 before a race in which his chances were conditioned by strategy, before disqualification. And there was another problem he had to deal with.
The Monegasque driver from Ferrari suffered from a dental health problem, which forced him to take painkillers, as revealed by Bild: ‘I have been taking very strong painkillers since Thursday. Sometimes it was worse, sometimes it was better. But it didn’t affect me in the race’.
At this moment, Leclerc still doesn’t know if he will need any kind of intervention to correct the dental problem. The timing, naturally, wouldn’t be the best, with two consecutive rounds in Mexico and Brazil to follow.
