The oldest active vehicle manufacturer in Great Britain, AC Cars, has just revealed the first images of the new AC Cobra GT Coupé.
The new model from the British brand, which is ready for production, is based on an enhanced version of the Cobra GT Roadster platform and will have a limited edition of 99 units, Clubsport Edition, featuring a 799 hp V8 engine, and these will be the first units to be delivered to customers starting from the end of 2025.
This Clubsport Edition will be followed by the series production version of the new AC Cobra coupé, which will have a naturally aspirated V8 engine with 450 hp, or as an option, a supercharged 720 hp engine.
With a longer carbon fiber body than the original Cobra to make the model more comfortable and easier to use for modern drivers, the new coupe has a wheelbase of 2.57 meters and measures 4.22 meters in length and 1.98 meters in width.
The British brand says that the new model will have an almost perfect weight balance of 50:50 from front to back, with a low center of gravity.
AC says that the new coupe was inspired by the A98 Le Mans from the early 1960s, which led to the distinctive Kammtail rear section of the new model, while still maintaining the classic Cobra appearance with two round headlights.
The British brand has already announced that the new Cobra GT Coupe has a starting price of around €382,000 + taxes, and that reservations for the more radical Clubsport Edition can already be made.
