When Jorge Martín was in the Moto2 World Championship, he was linked to KTM, competing with Red Bull KTM Ajo. However, upon his promotion to MotoGP, he joined Ducati and has been with Pramac since 2021.
For next year, the current championship leader aims to finally move up to a factory team—whether it be with Borgo Panigale or another manufacturer.
If there isn’t space for him at Ducati, KTM could be an interesting alternative, given that it is currently one of the few manufacturers able to compete with the Italians. But is Martín an option for the Austrian team?
KTM Motorsports Director Pit Beirer was asked about this possibility by Motorsport-Magazin and replied: ‘I don’t want to speculate about Marc [Márquez] or Martín. Both riders are very strong at the moment, they are with Ducati and have few reasons to change bikes. So, I don’t think it’s important to weigh in on what I think about the two riders. I truly appreciate both as brilliant racers’.
