Daniel Holgado is set to compete in his third full season in the Moto3 World Championship in 2024. This year, the Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider was in contention for the title, securing three victories, but an inconsistent second half of the season pushed him down to fifth place.
The Spanish rider made it clear that his intention is to spend just one more year in Moto3 before moving up: ‘It’s clear that my plan is to move to Moto2 in 2025 and later to MotoGP’, he told SPEEDWEEK.com.
Despite standing at only 1.67m tall, Holgado trains on a larger-displacement bike and believes he would already be prepared for Moto2… but he thinks it’s not yet time to make the leap: ‘I have a 600cc bike to train at home. I ride it at a karting track. I think I would be ready for Moto2 right now. But I want to wait for the right time. Experience is very important’.
