Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are widely considered the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history. With the sport dating back to the 1950s, there have been numerous exceptional talents who have competed in it. However, when asked about creating his dream team, Daniel Ricciardo surprised many with his choices. The 34-year-old driver, who has won eight Grand Prix races, selected Mario Andretti and Michael Schumacher for his dream team. Both Andretti and Schumacher are former world champions, with the latter having the same number of championships as Hamilton.
In addition to revealing his dream team, Ricciardo also shared what attracted him to the sport and his love for it. As one of the most experienced drivers on the current grid, he has been competing in Formula 1 since 2011. Despite being considered a promising talent destined for greatness, Ricciardo’s career has taken a downturn since joining McLaren in 2021. He was released by the team at the end of 2022 and has struggled to make a significant impact since his return with VCARB (AlphaTauri). Although he has set his sights on a spot at Red Bull for the 2025 season, it seems unlikely that Ricciardo will be able to secure a seat alongside the successful Verstappen and other contenders.
