David Muñoz has been confirmed for next season in the Moto3 World Championship. The rider was announced this Monday by Intact GP, which will undergo a significant change in 2025 as Husqvarna departs from their partnership.
Currently 18 years old, Muñoz made his full-time debut in the category from the Italian GP in 2022 and has already secured seven podium finishes. Since his arrival, he has been competing with BOE Motorsports, riding a KTM.
After 11 rounds, Muñoz is in fifth place in the championship standings, just five points away from matching his best Moto3 season – when he finished with 113 points last year.
– I am very happy to join Intact GP next year. It has been the team that has wanted me the most from the first moment. I trust them fully as they have proven to be one of the top teams, constantly fighting for podiums and championships. I am sure I can learn and further evolve as a top rider and hopefully championship contender from such an experienced team. I’m very happy to work with this crew next year and I’m looking forward to getting things underway and fighting for the World Championship.
