Davide Brivio was announced last week as the team principal of Trackhouse Racing in MotoGP. Despite not being directly involved in the factory team of Aprilia Racing, the executive director of Noale, Massimo Rivola, has no doubts that it is an advantageous addition for everyone.
The leader of the factory team of the manufacturer recalled the connection with the satellite team, as well as Brivio’s experience, considering the Italian as an asset:
– First of all, welcome to Davide. I consider him a friend and I’m sure that he will bring some benefit for the whole project. He has much more experience than me, so I’m sure he will bring some. It’s a very good news for Trackhouse, but I think it’s a very good news also for Aprilia. We are working so close to this team by our philosophy. We sat down with Justin Marks [Trackhouse’s owner] and we decided to have a sort of an unique project. And having Davide onboard it’s a very good news. I’m looking forward to start to work with him.
Throughout his career, Brivio has worked on successful projects at Yamaha and Suzuki, standing out alongside Valentino Rossi, but also as the driving force behind Suzuki in a project that culminated in Joan Mir’s title in 2020. In the last three years, he has had experience in motorsports with Alpine.
