One of the highlights of the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics featured Tom Cruise. The legendary actor is known for performing many stunts in films, including some involving motorcycles.
At the event, Tom Cruise descended from the roof of the Stade de France to the stage, riding a motorcycle to start the «journey» to deliver the Olympic flag to Los Angeles (the host city for 2028).
So, what bike did the Mission: Impossible star ride on this occasion? We have the answer: it was the LiveWire Del Mar, an electric motorcycle produced by LiveWire – Harley-Davidson’s brand for electric models.
With a range of about 182 km, the motorcycle accelerates from 0 to 96.6 km/h in three seconds and reaches a top speed of 165.8 km/h, featuring an electric motor with 84 hp. It has a modular frame, Showa inverted fork at the front, Showa mono-shock at the rear, and a cast aluminum swingarm.
With fast charging, the 10.5 kWh battery is replenished to 80% in 78 minutes (which increases to 5.9 hours with a regular home outlet). The TFT instrument panel is circular and has smartphone connectivity.
You can watch Tom Cruise’s appearance in full in the following video. It even includes a parachute jump, with a landing in Los Angeles. A high-adrenaline moment to close two weeks of sports excitement.
