Francesco Bagnaia overcame yesterday’s challenges to secure the second place on the grid for the races at the Valencia MotoGP – besting rival Jorge Martín (Pramac Racing/Ducati) in qualifying at the Circuito Ricardo Tormo.
The Ducati rider said in the official broadcast that with the new setup of his Desmosedici GP23, he had good sensations and ensured he is now ready for the Sprint race:
– It’s fantastic and I’m very happy. Yesterday we were a bit unlucky with the sessions; we didn’t have time to try a different settting that is the one of today. This morning, as soon as I started the session I felt better at last. I was taking a feeling on the track and doing the front row is fantastic. I’m ready for this afternoon. For sure the goal was to be on the front row and this is a great goal.
