Ducati has achieved a status of supremacy in MotoGP—as well as in the World Superbike Championship—after many years of hard work. Ducati Corse’s general manager, Gigi Dall’Igna, is seen as a crucial figure in these successes, but the CEO of the manufacturer, Claudio Domenicali, highlighted that there is much more to it.
He said to DAZN: ‘Gigi Dall’Igna is a star in his area. We are very aligned. I hope he stays with us forever, but I don’t rule out that someday Honda could make him a huge offer. But even Gigi doesn’t know the secrets of Ducati’s magic formula’.
According to Domenicali, there isn’t anyone in Ducati who knows everything required for the success they’ve been achieving: ‘In fact, Ducati’s winning formula is like Coca-Cola’s: it’s a secret. Within the company, everyone knows only a part of the secret. But no one knows all the ingredients’.
