Ducati secured the MotoGP constructors’ title this Saturday. In the sprint race at the Indonesian GP, it needed just nine more points than KTM, and it ended up with 11 more points than its rival, thanks to Jorge Martín’s (Prima Pramac/Ducati) win.
Currently, the Ducati Desmosedici GP is regarded as the best bike in the paddock, and looking at the results of recent years, it’s easy to understand why.
This is the fourth manufacturers’ title for the Borgo Panigale house in a row, a journey of success that began in 2020 after many years of persistence and improvements in the bike and the project.
Between satellite teams and the factory team, Ducati has only lost three main races this year, when Álex Rins won the Grand Prix of the Americas for LCR Honda, and Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia) won the British and Catalunya GPs.
With one main race and five full rounds to go in the season, Ducati has 502 points, while KTM is in second place with 273 points.
