In June, Tech3 announced its MotoGP rider lineup for 2025 – the strongest it has ever had, featuring Enea Bastianini and Maverick Viñales. This was made possible thanks to the increasingly strong partnership with KTM.
In an interview with the official championship website, team manager Nicolas Goyon described the excitement and nervousness surrounding the signing of the two new riders for 2024: ‘It’s true we’ve been super excited. I tell you the week after Mugello was stressful and exciting at the same time. We knew we had this opportunity, and when they finally confirmed that they would sign with KTM and with us, we were super happy and exciting to make this announcement. Finally it’s done, it’s official, now we can speak about it’.
Since becoming KTM’s satellite team in 2019, Tech3 has mainly been the starting point for young riders connected to the Austrian manufacturer, such as Miguel Oliveira and, currently, Pedro Acosta. Therefore, 2025 will bring a new situation, as Goyon acknowledged:
– Enea and Maverick are two race winners, and this is something quite new for Tech3 in general. But they are going to be inside a big group of riders, with the four riders able to win every weekend. So, this is something new for us, but also for KTM.
