Enea Bastianini faced a minor setback for the Catalan MotoGP GP. The Ducati rider will lose three positions on the starting grid for the main race due to a penalty.
During the final minutes of Friday’s practice, the Italian slowed down without justification on the ideal trajectory in turn one. The maneuver affected Pol Espargaró (GasGas Tech3/KTM) and was reviewed by the stewards.
The decision was to impose a three-place penalty on the starting grid for the main race in Barcelona. The penalty will not affect tomorrow’s sprint race.
