The Regulatory Authority for Energy Services (ERSE) revealed that the average weekly price of fuels decreased by 1% for gasoline compared to last week, while diesel recorded a decrease of 1.6%.
According to the ERSE’s weekly report, the efficient price was updated, “compared to last week, by -1% for gasoline and -1.6% for diesel, taking into account the weekly variation of international prices for regular gasoline by -1.1% and for regular diesel by -2.1%.”
Thus, “for the week of October 30 to November 5, the Preço Eficiente (Efficient Price) before taxes is €0.840 per liter for regular gasoline and €0.972 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente stands at €1.744 per liter for regular gasoline and €1.740 for regular diesel,” according to the ERSE report.
It should be noted that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in reference international markets and their maritime freight, primary logistics, including strategic and security reserves of the National Petroleum System, additional costs related to the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component increased by the respective taxes.”
Regarding the previous week, ERSE revealed that “the average of the Public Sale Prices announced on billboards, reported in the Single Energy Counter, was 6.6 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for that week, in the case of regular gasoline, and 2.78 cents above in the case of regular diesel.”
In percentage terms, “regular gasoline was announced on billboards 3.6% above the Efficient Price and regular diesel was 1.5% above,” according to the ERSE report.
