The Regulatory Authority for Energy Services (ERSE) revealed that the average weekly price of fuel decreased by 1% for gasoline compared to last week, while diesel saw a decrease of 3.5%.
According to the ERSE’s weekly report, the efficient price was updated, “compared to last week, by -1% for gasoline and -3.5% for diesel, taking into account the weekly variation of international quotations for regular gasoline by -2.3% and for regular diesel by -6.7%”.
Therefore, “for the week of November 13th to 19th, the Preço Eficiente (Efficient Price) before taxes is €0.829 per liter for regular gasoline and €0.907 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente stands at €1.731 per liter for regular gasoline and €1.661 for regular diesel”.
It should be noted that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by the ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in international reference markets and their maritime freights, primary logistics, including strategic and security reserves of the National Petroleum System, additional costs for the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component increased by the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “the average of the Prices Announced to the Public displayed on the signs, and reported in the Energy Single Counter, was 6.9 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for that week, in the case of regular gasoline, and 4.4 cents above in the case of regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “regular gasoline was announced on the signs 3.28% above the Efficient Price and regular diesel was 2.5% above,” according to the report.
