The average weekly price calculated by the Energy Services Regulatory Entity (ERSE) increased by 1% for gasoline and decreased by 1.3% for diesel, the most used fuel in Portugal.
According to the ERSE report, released this Tuesday, the efficient price was updated, “taking into account the weekly variation of international quotations for regular gasoline by +2.9% and for regular diesel by -1.8%”.
Thus, “for the week of April 1st to 7th, the Preço Eficiente before taxes is €0.899 per liter for regular gasoline and €0.902 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente is €1.817 per liter for regular gasoline and €1.655 for regular diesel”.
It is important to note that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by the ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in international reference markets and their respective maritime freights, primary logistics, including strategic reserves and security of the National Petroleum System, additional costs for the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component added with respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “the average of the Public Sale Prices announced on the signs, and reported in the Energy Single Counter, was 2.1 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for that week, in the case of regular gasoline, and 2.1 cents above in the case of regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “regular 95 gasoline was announced on the signs 1.2% above the Efficient Price and regular diesel was 1.2% above”, according to the report.
