The average weekly price calculated by the Energy Services Regulatory Entity (ERSE) registered a 0.4% increase for gasoline and a 1.1% decrease for diesel, the most used fuel in Portugal.
According to the ERSE report, released this Monday, the efficient price registered an update, “taking into account the weekly variation of international quotations for simple gasoline 95 at + 0.9% and simple diesel at – 2.2%”.
Thus, “for the week of April 15 to 21, the Preço Eficiente before taxes is €0.923 per liter for simple gasoline 95 and €0.912 for simple diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente stands at €1.847 per liter for simple gasoline 95, and €1.667 for simple diesel”.
It is worth noting that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by the ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in international reference markets and their respective maritime freights, primary logistics, including in this parcel the strategic reserves and security of the National Petroleum System, the additional costs of incorporating biofuels, and the retail component added with the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “the average of the Public Sale Prices announced on the signs, and reported in the Unique Energy Counter, was 1 cent per liter above the Efficient Price of that week, in the case of simple gasoline 95, and 3.1 cents per liter above in the case of simple diesel”.
In percentage terms, “95 octane gasoline was announced at 0.6% above the Efficient Price and simple diesel was announced at 1.8% above,” as reported by the ERSE report.
