Max Verstappen from Red Bull Racing achieved a remarkable feat by equaling the Formula 1 record for most consecutive pole positions. He secured his eighth consecutive pole position at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. In the absence of his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez in Q3, Verstappen managed an impressive lap of 1:14.746s to beat Oscar Piastri.
Piastri, driving for McLaren, narrowly beat his teammate Lando Norris to secure a spot on the front row of the grid. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc from Ferrari led the charge for his team once again, holding a prominent position at the front of the pack. Carlos Sainz, also from Ferrari, secured fifth place, while George Russell from Mercedes impressed by finishing sixth. Yuki Tsunoda from Red Bull Racing showcased his talent by securing seventh place.
Reigning champion Lewis Hamilton finished in eighth place, two spots behind his Mercedes teammate. Daniel Ricciardo from Red Bull Racing and Nico Hulkenberg from Haas completed the top 10.
Unfortunately, none of the Aston Martin drivers managed to advance to the pole position shootout. Fernando Alonso, driving for Alpine, faced elimination in Q1 after going off track and landing in the gravel on his only attempt.
