Last year, Fabio Di Giannantonio showed that he has what it takes to compete at the top of MotoGP, even securing his first win in the premier class.
However, he did so quite late in the season, and he narrowly avoided being without a seat for 2024, as Gresini did not renew his contract, welcoming Marc Márquez for this year.
The Italian admitted that he didn’t like starting to achieve such results so late: ‘One regret that I have from the 2023 season is that I needed to start doing great results earlier’.
Nevertheless, Di Giannantonio secured a bike for this year – replacing Luca Marini at the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team after his compatriot’s move to Repsol Honda.
