Fabio Quartararo may have abandoned the French GP in MotoGP, but until the incident that ended his race, he had a good pace, fighting in the top ten – something he has only managed once this year.
In this context, the Monster Energy Yamaha rider now faces the Catalan GP, arriving in Barcelona with updates on the Yamaha YZR-M1, as he shared:
– After the private Mugello Test, we settled on an aerodynamics version we’ll try here this weekend. I’m interested to see what it will be like. For sure, we’ll do our best, as always.
With high motivation, Quartararo arrives in Barcelona confident of having made progress, aiming to continue the good momentum he had in France: ‘It’s a Monster Energy-sponsored GP, so the team is fully motivated. Barcelona is one of my favourite circuits as well – I rode some really good races here, especially in 2022. We made a step with the setting in Le Mans, so let‘s see if we can get some good results this weekend’.
In his previous five seasons in MotoGP, Quartararo has achieved two victories and a podium in Barcelona, and it was at this circuit in 2018 that he won for the first time in a world championship when he was in Moto2.
