Yamaha is getting better and closer to some opponents, or that is at least the belief of Fabio Quartararo who isn’t thinking about 2025, given he is certain that the growth of his bike can happen from month to month, due to the concessions. Still, the evolution and quality jump can happen soon and the M1 can get closer to the RS-GP and RC16, but not to Desmosedici.
The french, who was again the fastest of the brand at Sachsenring, where he had the company of Remy Gardner, in Álex Rins place, recalled the status of the team and how it can benefit from it: ‘With the concessions we don’t really think about next year. We can really improve each month. In the end it’s not really a focus of next year’s bike. There are many, many things already happening at Yamaha that I think are going to be better’.
As what is the better part of the first half of the season, that is clear, with an eye on the competition:
– I think the mentality and the way of working that we have. I think we started the season very far compared to the European manufacturers. And the results are the same, but I think we are getting closer. Not to Ducati, but to Aprilia or KTM. And I think we need more months to get really close.
