Fabio Quartararo’s contract with Monster Energy Yamaha in MotoGP expires at the end of the upcoming season. Despite securing the title in 2021, the recent years have been challenging – particularly in 2023, where he didn’t achieve any victories.
The rider seeks urgent improvements and issued a clear «warning» in an interview with Motorsport.com, emphasizing the scarcity of time: ‘The issue is that we have very little time to do so [return to the top], especially for me to convince myself that it’s a winning project. If I feel that I don’t have a winning project and have to leave, I will have to take that step’.
Currently, Quartararo feels that Yamaha is, at least, making efforts to improve their results: ‘I see that Yamaha is putting in a lot of effort, and I would love for them to manage to take a step forward’.
