Pedro Acosta’s future in MotoGP is now confirmed. After making his debut with Red Bull GasGas Tech3 this year, he will be promoted to Red Bull KTM, joining the Austrian manufacturer’s factory team.
As is well known, KTM has significant synergies with its satellite team and strong support, increasingly becoming a sort of second factory team — where the rider has even managed to achieve better results than Brad Binder and Jack Miller.
Still, the status change is significant, and Acosta admits it’s another dream come true. In an interview with Dominika Grnova, he acknowledged that while the change is meaningful, not much else will change besides the colors:
– One more dream came true, to be a factory rider for KTM. It’s true that it will not change many things, because I’m factory already with them – the only thing is I am wearing a red t-shirt but at the end it’s the same. For this, I’m super happy to be two more seasons inside this family.
