Currently ranked fourth in the Moto2 World Championship, Fermín Aldeguer is not forgetting about the competition and has clearly identified his main rivals in the fight for the championship. Convinced that much of what happens is due to moments – both positive and negative – he hopes to have already overcome the less good phase and wants to be ‘always at the front’ now.
The 19-year-old rider, who will be making the leap to MotoGP in 2025 – with Ducati, at Gresini or VR46 – told MotoSprint that there are several riders trying to win the world championship in the category, and that even the current leader may face problems:
– There are many riders for the title, Sergio Garcia is always present, he is riding very strong, but we have to see what happens. Sergio has a very good setup on the bike, but problems arise sooner or later. We went through a negative moment and now I hope to always be at the front.
But Garcia is not the only one, and there are more rivals who will ‘bother’ him, he assured: ‘Besides Sergio, there is Manu Gonzalez, who has not been very lucky, but he is always strong. Arón Canet is a bit subject to ups and downs. Celestino Vietti is also fast this year. Then, obviously, Ai Ogura and Alonso López. They are the ones who will bother me the most’.
