Fermín Aldeguer was announced last week as a MotoGP rider starting in 2025. He is set to begin with Prima Pramac Racing, but his contract is directly with Ducati.
The champion of the last two years, Francesco Bagnaia, competes for the Borgo Panigale manufacturer and, in a press conference, was asked to comment on what he expects from the young Spaniard. The Italian stated:
– I think that Fermín is one of the fastest riders of the new generation. I think that in the last year he did amazing things in the last part of the season. There was a race last year in which he impressed me a lot in qualifying – that was in Phillip Island, he did a lap time that two or three years ago in MotoGP wasn’t bad, it would be like in second or third row. So it was incredible. And I think if he and his entourage can keep calm and just try to do everything step-by-step he can do a really good job, without any pressure. He has the potential to be strong’.
