There has been no official announcement, but Fermín Aldeguer may have signed a contract with Ducati, which includes a promotion to MotoGP as early as next year.
The 18-year-old rider has impressed in Moto2, finishing last season with four victories in the last four races and emerging as one of the strong contenders for the title in 2024.
According to El Periodico, Aldeguer was at the Ducati headquarters last week to sign the contract, with the manufacturer looking to prevent any surprises or uncertainties.
Prima Pramac could be Aldeguer’s destination in 2025, where Jorge Martín aims to make the leap to the factory team or explore options with other manufacturers. Gresini and VR46 could also have open slots for next year, as they have none of their riders contracted. VR46, however, has admitted that it may partner with another manufacturer.
