In March, Ducati announced that Fermín Aldeguer would join their MotoGP lineup in 2025. Recently, Aldeguer’s manager, Héctor Faubel, shared more details about the contract.
The former rider explained to Mundo Deportivo that the contract includes an initial two-year term with an option for an additional two years, contingent on performance:
– We signed a 2+2 contract. We have two guaranteed years, with another two depending on meeting certain goals. In my opinion, these objectives are quite achievable given the nature of MotoGP.
The specific team within Ducati where Aldeguer will race in 2025 is still undetermined. Regarding the bike, the contract specifies that only in 2026 will Aldeguer be guaranteed the latest version of the Ducati: ‘By contract, in the first year, he could ride either a Desmosedici GP24 or a GP25. Ducati will decide on that. In the second year, he will definitely have the GP26’, Faubel revealed.
