The Moto2 preseason tests have come to an end, with the fastest times emerging this Friday on the final day. Fermín Aldeguer emerged victorious over the competition, solidifying his status as a strong contender for the title.
The Spanish rider from Sync SpeedUp completed the fastest lap in the last of three sessions of the day, clocking in at 1m40.307s. With this, he edged out Joe Roberts (OnlyFans American Racing Team/Kalex) by just 0.044s – with the American consistently among the fastest throughout the week.
Third fastest was Manuel González (QJMotor Gresini/Kalex), trailing by 78 milliseconds from the top, followed by Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS/Kalex). After being the fastest on the two previous days, Arón Canet (Fantic Racing/Kalex) improved but only managed to secure fifth place on Friday and in the overall tests – the top ten riders of the day all clocked times below the best time set until the end of Thursday.
