Fermín Aldeguer has a guaranteed place in MotoGP and his adventure in the category will begin in 2025, although for now it’s not known whether he’ll be riding in the colours of the VR46 Racing Team or Gresini Racing. There is one person who will be in the Ducati universe, who is his reference and idol but who will be ‘just’ another target to try and beat.
The 19-year-old is preparing to make the leap to the top class of the world championship, and in conversation with MotoSprint he looked at the competition, with someone very special in mind, who will be his rival: ‘Marc Márquez is my idol. He’s Spanish and has a very high level. He’s my benchmark’.
Even so, the #54, who is currently fourth in the Moto2 world championship, assured that he will look at the future factory Ducati rider as ‘just another’ opponent on the track, guaranteeing that the status and importance that Márquez has for him individually will have to stay off the track:
– Although he’s my idol, Marc Márquez next year will be just another rider on the grid, I have to think like that. I won’t just have to beat him, but everyone else too.
