The promotion of Fermín Aldeguer to MotoGP in 2025 will happen, assures his manager Hector Faubel. The question now remains under what conditions and with which manufacturer, at a time when there is speculation about a four-year contract with Ducati starting in the Pramac satellite team.
Faubel confirmed that there are negotiations with the Borgo Panigale manufacturer: ‘It is true that we are in talks with Ducati, not with Pramac. But we have to be patient, the first race of this season has not yet begun and they are already talking about this. It’s a bit early’.
That said, Aldeguer’s manager emphasized that no agreement has been sealed: ‘We are in talks with Ducati, but nothing is finalized. The step to MotoGP next year is close, so to speak. I believe that moving to MotoGP is a matter of… weeks, a month, two months, but it will happen, I cannot say anything about the brand he will be with. Nothing is finalized with any brand, neither Ducati nor KTM, there is nothing at this moment’.
For now, the young rider is focused on the Moto2 World Championship, as he recently stated: ‘Being realistic, we will fight for the World Championship. It is true that we still have a lot of information to gather, both about the bike and the tyres, but we cannot think less than that. Last year, I finished third unexpectedly. Now, all that’s left is to win’.
