Ford has revealed the first image of the new Capri, the second fully electric model that will be produced at its Cologne plant in Germany, and everything indicates that it will be presented on July 10th.
The teaser released by the American brand shows a headlight and a taillight of the new model, which suggests that it will lose the coupe format and become a compact 100% electric crossover.
Based on VW’s MEB platform, the same architecture used by the 100% electric SUV Explorer, it is not surprising that the revived Capri may offer a choice of three motors with power ranging from 168 hp to 335 hp and two battery options of 52 kWh and 77 kWh.
Remember that the Ford Capri is one of the most iconic coupes of the American brand, and it was produced between 1968 and 1986 and sold 1.8 million units over three generations.
