VW is developing a new T-Roc that will be one of the last models of the brand to be manufactured with a combustion engine, as the German manufacturer announced its intention to exclusively produce battery electric vehicles from 2033.
Everything indicates that the new generation of the T-Roc will be based on the MQB Evo platform, in order to offer gasoline hybrid engines with lower consumption and operating costs.
According to « Autocar », the revamped T-Roc is expected to hit the market in 2026 and VW is currently in the final testing phase with the model that has received a front end similar to the new Tiguan, with a redesigned grille and updated LED headlights, based on the images revealed by the British publication of the model in testing. In addition, the rear is more sloped and features taillights inspired by the Golf.
It is worth noting that the T-Roc, one of VW’s most popular models, is manufactured in Portugal at Autoeuropa, and was the third best-selling model in Europe in 2023, even surpassing the Golf.
