The Sepang circuit record lap was broken again on the third and final day of MotoGP testing. Francesco Bagnaia is the fastest with less than an hour and a half remaining, with a truly surprising time: 1m56.682s.
In the first half-hour alone, four riders clocked times in the 1m56s, clearly below the official record. The best among them was Bagnaia (Ducati), with the champion of the last two years leading by 0.172s ahead of Jorge Martín (Pramac/Ducati).
In third is Enea Bastianini (Ducati), while fourth place belongs to Álex Márquez (Gresini/Ducati). To find the best non-Ducati rider, you have to go down to fifth place, occupied by Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia). Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati) is in sixth, 0.588s off the top.
Further down, Joan Mir is the best Honda rider in ninth, and Fabio Quartararo leads among the Yamaha riders in 11th. Many of the riders set their best times within the first ten to 15 laps.
