The following week is expected to bring a new increase in fuel prices, both for diesel and gasoline.
According to market sources, in the early hours of next Monday, February 19, the price of regular gasoline 95 is expected to increase by 3.5 cents per liter, to an average price of €1.742 per liter, while the price of regular diesel, the most used fuel in Portugal, is expected to rise by 2.5 cents per liter to an average price of €1.674 per liter.
The economic specialist publication points out that if these increases are confirmed, the price of regular diesel will register the fifth consecutive week of increase, while regular gasoline will reach the eighth week.
These prices already take into account the discounts applied by gas stations and the revision of temporary fiscal measures to help mitigate the increase in fuel prices. The tax reduction determined by the measures currently in force is 25 cents per liter of diesel and 26 cents per liter of gasoline.
