The downward trend in gasoline prices continues, and everything points to simple 95 gasoline registering the fifth consecutive week of price decrease next Monday.
According to calculations by “ECO“, in the early hours of next Monday, May 28, simple 95 gasoline will decrease by 0.5 cents to an average price of €1.744 per liter.
On the other hand, simple diesel, the most used fuel in Portugal, is not expected to change from this week’s price, remaining at €1.553 per liter. This puts an end to a cycle of six consecutive weeks of price decrease, bringing this fuel closer to the lowest value recorded earlier this year.
The specialized publication in economic matters announced that the fuel prices expected for next week already take into account the discounts applied by the fuel companies and the revision of temporary fiscal measures to help mitigate the increase in fuel prices. The tax reduction determined by the measures currently in place is 25 cents per liter of diesel and 26 cents per liter of gasoline.
