The new season of the MXGP Motocross World Championship is almost here, and the Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing team has already presented its team. The team will defend last year’s title with Jorge Prado, while in the MX2 category, it will have Simon Längenfelder, who finished third in the last two seasons, and the newcomer Marc-Antoine Rossi.
This year, Prado has already competed in some rounds of the AMA Supercross in the United States of America and is now focused on MXGP with tests and races planned in the preparation phase before the Argentine Patagonia MXGP on March 10th. At 20 years old, Längenfelder is a certainty in the MX2 category and will aim for the title after podium finishes in the last two championships. Rossi, on the other hand, is an absolute newcomer to the World Championships, after competing in the EMX250 European Championship last year and making his first wildcard appearance in MX2 – he finished eighth and sixth at the MXGP of France.
Davide De Carli, team manager of Red Bull GasGas, stated in a press release: ‘Looking ahead to the 2024 season, the feeling within the Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing team is very good. Having Jorge, our defending MXGP champion, alongside the incredible talent of Simon Längenfelder in MX2, and welcoming the fresh energy of our new signing, Marc-Antoine Rossi, in MX2, we are excited for an extraordinary year. Each rider brings a unique strength and determination to the team, and together, we share a single goal: to bring the speed, defend our titles, and reach new heights. We’ve prepared very thoroughly, everyone is feeling in top condition. For sure, the competition is tough, but we are more than ready’.
