In recent weeks, rumors have emerged about Formula 1 allegedly trying to convince General Motors to end its collaboration with Andretti in the bid to enter with a new team in the category – preferring one of the current structures, or becoming an independent power unit manufacturer.
However, the American conglomerate made it clear its commitment to the established collaboration. Its president, Mark Reuss, stated to the Associated Press:
– GM is committed to the partnership with Andretti to compete in F1. The collaboration between Andretti and Cadillac brings together two unique entities built for racing, both with long histories of success in global motorsport.
