The Andretti Cadillac project continues to work towards a future entry into Formula 1 and, at next week’s Las Vegas GP, General Motors will be represented by a special delegation.
According to the website gpfans.com, this group of officials from the American conglomerate will meet with Liberty Media and other stakeholders in the premier category – as the Andretti Cadillac program continues to face resistance in the championship.
If the FIA gave the green light in the initial stage of the application process, Formula 1 is not at all enthusiastic. The championship leaders are not very open to the entry of new teams, and even less so are the current teams – who would have to share revenue with another structure.
In an attempt to make progress, General Motors will be represented at the Las Vegas round. At this point, it is up to Formula 1 to proceed or reject the entry of Andretti Cadillac, as they are currently evaluating the proposed application.
