Franco Morbidelli is having a terrible preseason has he missed both MotoGP tests, in Sepang and Losail, after getting injured in Portimão, but that doesn’t seem to make Ducati forget about him, with Gigi Dall’Igna recalling the italian who this year signed with Pramac Racing.
Speaking to MotoSprint and quoted on Motosan, one of the main faces of Ducati and responsible for «creating» the most competitive bike on the grid said he is also thinking about other riders that got into the Borgo Panigale universe in 2024, not only Marc Márquez: ‘Not only that. I am thinking about Morbidelli. I’m sorry that due to the crash at Portimão he can’t be here to ride with us right away. Franco impressed me a lot the year of his second place’.
The italian promised that Ducati will try to support Mordi in the best possible way: ‘For me he is a rider who is in good condition. And we will try, as with everyone, to give him the best possible material’.
Doctors requested Morbidelli to take things slowly and to take some time off of riding a bike competitively, and his presence in the MotoGP opener isn’t yet a certainty.
